Water Damage Repair from a Roof Leak

Water Damage Repair from a Roof Leak

We were called to repair some water damage to a living room ceiling in Amherst NY. The water came through the ceiling at a previously repaired crack, and then pealed off the ceiling paint. It looks much worse than it is. We removed the pealing ceiling paint, and opened up the previously repaired cracks since they weren’t fixed correctly the first time, and then patched, spot primed, and painted the ceiling.

The reason we did not make a box, is because the wood beams, are actually painted foam. They’re fake, and we were afraid of damaging them.

The ceiling was originally painted with semigloss, with the beams. We repainted the ceiling flat white, and left the beams in semigloss.
