This farmhouse in Lockport NY built in the late 1800’s is like your typical old farm house. Sat unoccupied for a number of years until recently. The area where the leak occurred is where the addition, added in the 1950’s meets the original structure. There is a small dormer and a valley directly above this area with a smallish gutter. After having the roof replaced, they called us to repair the water damage and paint the living room.
The basecoat is still structurally sound, just the finish pealed off. There was also significant paint pealing as well which we repaired.
