Williamsville NY. – We are back at this beautiful Village of Williamsville home to refinish the walls in the dining room. The walls were a textured mess when they moved in 10 years ago. It appears as though they were wallpapered at some point, and instead of fully removing the glue, the previous owner just painted over the walls creating an ugly texture up close. A temporary fix for a small hallway was to put up paintable wallpaper, and paint over it.
We have worked in this home before, in May of 2024. In that case, we removed the popcorn ceiling texture from the master bedroom ceiling, and then painted the room.
Before skim coating
We removed the paintable wallpaper, pole sanded the walls, then applied (2) skim coats to the small hallway walls, and north and south walls of the dining room. Then we primed the walls, patched the walls, spot primed, then applied (2) coats of paint to the walls.
