Today we started a small project in Williamsville NY, patching a hole in the kitchen ceiling and a wall in a bedroom above it. They had Ed Youngs Plumbing over to repair a plumbing leak. We often follow behind Ed Youngs covering up their amazing work. Lol.
In the kitchen, we erected a simple plastic dust containment box to contain our mess. We failed to get before pictures. Suffice to say we had to square off the hole, to make patching easier which creates dust and dirt. Then take measurements of the newly sized hole.

We really dropped the ball on the pictures. So upstairs, the plumbers had to access the plumbing for the bathroom, and because the bathroom has 4 feet of tile up the walls all the way around, its easier and cheaper to go through the bedroom wall. No before pictures, but here is the finished drywall patch.

The kitchen ceiling patch is done as well, But we will get pictures of that in the morning. Tomorrow, we will sand and spot prime our patches, and then paint the affected wall and kitchen ceiling.
Well, we forgot to get pre-primed pictures of the patch.

But the show must go on, after priming the patch, we applied two coats of paint to the kitchen ceiling

More of the kitchen ceiling..

After priming the bedroom wall patch, we repainted the wall.

The ceiling above the wall damage had some water stains, The homeowner attempted to cover the ceiling stains with some kind of primer which didnt work so well. So we primed the area with oil primer, and then repainted the ceiling two coats.

This job took 12 hours to complete.
