After about a week of drying time, the new plaster we installed was finally ready for finishing.
We started by spot priming all plaster patches, then primed the entire bathroom ceiling to seal the surface. From there, we sanded, caulked, and painted the trim for a fresh, clean look.
The walls and ceilings in the blue bedroom, bathroom, and the gold-and-blue room each received two full coats of paint. Even when we use a premium one-coat product like Behr Dynasty (used in the gold-and-blue room), we always apply two coats.
Why?
Two coats deliver:
- Better coverage
- A smoother, more even sheen
- A more durable finish that lasts longer
This extra step ensures a more professional and consistent result across every room.
